Imitating "The Eagle"

Under the sun

We have so much fun,

It gets so hot you want to run,

But nothing can be done.

And walking along the sunny shore,

We swore,

We’d be there forever more.

The little bits that wash ashore,

nothing compared to the beauty found offshore.

PS: Everyone wrote about the beach!! lol

  1. I guess we all have summer on our minds! Nicely mimiced, though. :) Still original.

  2. Sumer seems to be a season made for poetry, as its warmth is symbolic for the many emotions we feel. I like how your rhyme scheme flows well. There is nothing worse than when the rhyme scheme of a poem ruins the word choice, but I dare say you avoided this problem.
