Spring (imitating The eagle)

As the year goes on we enter spring,

Oh what fun the Season will bring.

Together we listen to the birds sing.

Nature is now in full swing.

We want it to stay this way forever more,

Always being able to go to the shore.

Sweat pours from our every pore.

Now returns the cold weather from before,

Winter truly is a bore.

  1. Bit of a pun in the 7th line, huh?! :)

  2. I think the rhyming gives the poem a young and life-filled style. I think that fits perfectly because it is about a season of youth and new starts.

  3. I like your word choice. It makes the poem very free and happy; it fits with the subject well.

  4. Your word choice was really good in the poem and I think it flowed very nicely. Spring is a happy sort of sunny time of the year and i believe the way this was written really captured that.
